The Total Solar Eclipse of August 12, 2026
THIS IS A “ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE”!! DON´T MISS OUT!!
On this rare date, a total solar eclipse will cross northern Spain, the first visible from the Iberian Peninsula in over a century. The Moon’s shadow will sweep across the country from northwest to southeast, creating a path of totality approximately 150–200 km wide.
Sizigia Eclipse Gathering takes place in a carefully selected location within this path — near the Embalse de Sotonera in Aragón (Huesca province) — ensuring optimal viewing conditions during the moment of totality.
Key astronomical details:
During totality, the Sun’s corona will become visible, temperatures will drop noticeably, and the landscape will plunge into an eerie dusk. The event coincides with the Perseid meteor shower peak that night, offering a unique opportunity for stargazing after the eclipse.
At Sizigia Eclipse Gathering (August 10–14, 2026), you will experience:
